So I after reviewing our Muscle acre run from January, it got me thinking if I would do it again. I am awaiting a result of an MRI on my knee so that might help me make the decision but we will cross that bridge when we come to it. On the face of it I think I will do it agin. It was a very rural experience with some great obstacles but I think I might get a Get Fit team together for the next one (keep an eye out Get Fitters). There is an option for November and/or Janury, both wet and cold probably. Below is the post from January to recap and if you go http://www.muscleacre.com/ma-runs.html you will see my friend Neil and I in the background photo (I'm in the blue). A great starting point in to my world of obstacle racing. The Muscle Acre 10k, Surrey. It is only in its 2nd year but the it was great. You could definitely describe the course as ‘natural and rural’. It utilised the many aspects of the surrounding farm land including dung hills, farm dumping ground (made into a hill), horse trail jumps and local pete bogs and ponds (up to nipple height) of which some went in my mouth. There were also dug out trenches, water filled skips, lots and lots of mud runs, two walls and an under log dive.
