Why do people choose personal training? Personal training is scheduled around you. Time is precious and we want to make the most out of what spare time we have. By making appointments-arranging PT sessions-allocating time for training- you are making a commitment to your trainer and yourself. You are very unlikely to not turn up or put the session off. To add to this you should be confident that when you do get there the session will be effective and worth the time you have put aside. People can often waste time in the gym or when training at home as they browse their phone, are distracted by house hold tasks or family members, or simply don't have a plan to workout. There is a cost involved to personal training of course. But it is a service, a service that can lead to positive changes in your health and life. It can be the game changer for confidence, motivation, determination, satisfaction and simply feeling a better sense of well being. Do your homework though and have a meeting/consultation with any prospective trainers...we do do things differently. But if you feel you could learn and benefit from a personal trainer then take the plunge see where it can take you. #personaltraining #oxfordshire #didcot #blewbury #abingdon #berkshire #fitness #health #gym

Here it is folks, Day 1 of 12 Days to Xmas...you've still got time ;) Tomorrow the 12 Days of Xmas starts. 12 days of mini workouts to get you moving. Watch out on all the social streams each day so you can complete and share every workout. #12daysofxmas #GetFit On the 17th January 2016 - I would like to enter a Get Fit team into the Muscleacre 10k obstacle race.
It is in between Bracknell and Guildford and starts at 11am. It is a great event and is new and low key compared to other races, with all obstacles avoidable if you wish over a moderate 10k course. Let me know if you are interested by the 10TH NOVEMBER to get things sorted. For more info have a look on http://www.muscleacre.com/ma-runs.html (its the WINTER WARMER event) or get in touch with me on info@getfit-bootcamp.co.uk Announcements!
1 - I will endeavour to make sure everyone gets the email newsletter/info releases. I believe some are not receiving them. I have sent our 3-4 emails this week so please let me know if you haven't got them and I will re send. Also, check your SPAM or if your email provider categorises your email for you then check these folders. 2- Get Fit will no longer be using PayPal. All invoices will be sent out in a similar way but other options of payment are now available...including debit and credit cards. 3- All Wednesday and Thursday Sessions are now in the Blewbury village hall...same times. So I after reviewing our Muscle acre run from January, it got me thinking if I would do it again. I am awaiting a result of an MRI on my knee so that might help me make the decision but we will cross that bridge when we come to it. On the face of it I think I will do it agin. It was a very rural experience with some great obstacles but I think I might get a Get Fit team together for the next one (keep an eye out Get Fitters). There is an option for November and/or Janury, both wet and cold probably. Below is the post from January to recap and if you go http://www.muscleacre.com/ma-runs.html you will see my friend Neil and I in the background photo (I'm in the blue). A great starting point in to my world of obstacle racing. The Muscle Acre 10k, Surrey. It is only in its 2nd year but the it was great. You could definitely describe the course as ‘natural and rural’. It utilised the many aspects of the surrounding farm land including dung hills, farm dumping ground (made into a hill), horse trail jumps and local pete bogs and ponds (up to nipple height) of which some went in my mouth. There were also dug out trenches, water filled skips, lots and lots of mud runs, two walls and an under log dive.
Trained my first husband and wife this morning...motivating each other, sharing time together and working hard together. Absolutely great work #husbandandwife #gefit
